Grad Show Setup Details
Here are the room setup and the requirements I would ideally like to have for your show. If this setup is not possible, just let me know. You can easily download and print these requirements off; just click the button above.
1Performance Area Requirements
Clear visibility for the audience is required for the best results. If a stage or risers are used: 16’ long and 8’ deep is the minimum size requirement. Ideal size is 20’ long and 12’ deep (or larger). Make sure it is a solid structure with steps at the front or sides. Please place the audience a minimum of 15 feet away from the stage or performance area. Power must be supplied at or near the performance area.
2Lighting Requirements
As much light as possible on the entire performance area. The audience area may be dimmed, but the performance area needs to be well-lit. White stage wash lighting can also be provided by Scott Christie for an additional charge (to be arranged).
3Sound Requirements
The sound system volume level must be sufficient to have the entertainer’s voice and show music clearly heard throughout the performance area. Additionally, 1 or 2 Stage Monitors (speakers) may need to be positioned near the front of the stage, facing the performance area, so that anyone on stage has clear and ample reproduction of all voice and music used for the performance for the entire duration of the performance. A sound technician or someone knowledgeable with the supplied sound system needs to be present during setup. A Sound Check must be performed one hour before the show by the entertainer with the sound system. We will require 1 wireless microphone to be plugged into the provided sound system and one 1/8 mini plug (headphone size) audio input available for our iPad or laptop to plug in.
4Chairs and Tables
Two small to medium (4’ or 6’ type) tables need to be set up at the rear or side of the stage for show props, water and a laptop.
(Hypnosis Show only) Between 10 and 20 non-folding chairs with hard backs and no armrests or wheels. Sturdy chairs are important. Chairs need to be set up (depending on size and makeup of the audience) in one row facing the audience.
